Recovery Ion Exchange System
Effluent Graph for Copper Recovery
This system is
from a still existing( 2007, 15years and still running) printed
circuit manufacturer in the Los Angeles area. This data is from
1996 when copper limits were 0.5 ppm. There was no attempt
to increase the systems efficiency. Newer systems can run
from non-detectable to 10 ppb depending on the type of waste treated
and optimization. This is a Remco Engineering MRIX system with
older software and control parameters.
This system was
in operation for three and one half years before the start of
this graph. This data is from the normal day to day records of
this operation. Three samples are taken each day and analyzed
on an AA. They are averaged and the average and range (high minus
low) are reported. Note that even then, the system generally ran
under 100 ppb with no special effort to optimize operating parameters.
